Modern Jive has its’ roots in Lindyhop (swing music era of the late 20s/30s and 40s) and Rock and Roll with modern day inflexions from Tango, Ballroom and Latin styles. Think of Modern Jive as a 'mongrel' of a dance, rather than a pedigree!!!  It's cheeky, fun and always entertaining.

Modern Jive is danced to a mixture of popular chart music from the Motown era to now: Eliza Doolittle, Paolo Nutini, Lady GaGa, The Pussycat Dolls, Pixie Lott, Duffy, Rihanna, Leona Lewis, The Scissor Sisters, The Sugarbabes, Madonna, Black Eyed Peas, Elvis Presley, Shania Twain, Rachel Stevens, Tom Jones, S Club 7, T-Tex, Gloria Gaynor and Barry White.  We ALSO MIX IN swing from Michael Buble, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin etc.

• Lessons are progressively structured from New Starter through Beginner, Improver and Intermediate.
• Regular workshops are offered to quickly improve your dancing with good technique and style
• We regularly promote social nights for you to come out and dance with your friends
